Data management: databases, analyses and queries
The NRZ-Authent develops and hosts databases and data evaluation services, including graphical and programmatic user interfaces, as well as assistance with and provision of statistical analyses.
Analytical reference databases: comparison of food samples
In the future, analytical databases should enable food control authorities to compare and assess food samples in a standardised manner. Therefore, data management specifically tailored to the needs of food control authorities must be developed. Supporting this objective, the NRZ-Authent has been equipped with an appropriate server infrastructure.
Knowledge databases: laboratory expertise, reference material and literature
By building knowledge databases, searchable information on specific areas are provided, including
- analytical expertise of the laboratories of the food control authorities (at national level)
- existing collections of reference materials
- literature collection focussing on food authenticity and food fraud in a regulatory context
Data evaluation services: analyses
The data evaluation services hosted by the NRZ-Authent provide custom-tailored computer-aided analyses for food control authorities. Based on easily available input formats, the analyses can be carried out with the help of user-friendly interfaces.
